SEO Raised Over $7.5 million at its 2019 Annual Awards Dinner!
On Monday, April 29, SEO had the pleasure of welcoming more than 1,270 guests to its 16th Annual Awards Dinner; our highest attended and highest grossing Awards Dinner in SEO’s history!
With your support, we raised over $7.5 million!
SEO’s mission is to create a more equitable society by closing the opportunity and achievement gaps for motivated young people in underserved and underrepresented communities.
Henry R. Kravis, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of KKR and SEO Board Chairman, gave inspiring remarks about SEO’s positive impact on society.
SEO’s 2019 honorees are Ken Griffin, Founder and CEO, Citadel, and Founder, Citadel Securities, who received the SEO Founder’s Award;
The Trustees of the Edwin Gould Foundation, who received the Philanthropy Leadership award; Verdun Perry, Senior Managing Director, Blackstone, and SEO Class of ’93, who received the Alumni Leadership Award.
Kammy Moalemzadeh, Founder and Managing Partner, Arcadia Investment Partners, LLC, and Seth Bernstein, Chairman and CEO, Bernstein Equity Partners, served as our Dinner Chairs.
Steve Harvey, television personality, introduced our text-to-pledge fundraiser.
SEO high school and college Scholars from New York City and San Francisco shared their stories about overcoming adversity and about how SEO is helping them to succeed on their journeys to and through college.
